Dear All,
How are you today?
Ok, recently I had explained about “expecting” and “look forward to”.
And In this occasion I want to try to explain “what is the difference between words “always” and “forever” “
Let’s Start:
v The word “Forever” is used when we want to say that something will last for all time, or in other words, it will never end.
Example:
Ø I love my wife forever
Ø There will forever be distrust between Budi and john
Ø The people have been killing each other in wars, forever
As you can see my examples, we can use this word for past and future situations.
v We can use word “Always” to explain these types’ situations, but the word “Forever” is more formal and dramatic, while “always” is more for every day conversation.
For example:
Ø I always love my children
Ø There will always be distrust between Budi and John
Ø The people have always killed each other in wars
However, we can use “always” in other situations. It can be used when we want to say that there is a certain condition which is true every times something happens.
For example:
Ø When I get home from work, my husband is always watching TV.
Ø I always get annoyed when I’m in crowded train.
We can also use it to describe the state of a person or thing in general when it never changed.
For example:
Ø Enny is always happy, I really envy her.
Ø The traffic light on Main Street is always broken, I don’t understand, why they don’t fix it.
Thanks and regards
Narupi
